Your review and your summary of it were spot on and it seems to be reasonably priced. I’ll be checking it out.

I have had the pleasure of using the Adobe Products for over 30 yrs. PS is still the best of the best even today as the technology advances every day. Features and abilities of the latest versions are also better than in prior versions of the software.
In the past, I have never had much luck with third-party programs and upgrades unless they offer something original.
I used the more or less the same programs for my entire career and it has always ended up creating clutter on my hard drive that was hard to clean out. As a result, I am retired now and no longer support or use the Creative Suite programs.
I have used most of the photo editing software that the industry had before Photoshop, from proprietary to open-source. I also have used several other programs that were designed for specific purposes.

The TrueNorth crowdsourced development initiative created by Adobe is both amazing and terrifying. While I don’t know if it’s that direct, if it is, it’s pretty damn scary. I’m not alone with this article, but it’s still worth the time to read it anyway.

I had no idea what I was doing with my photos and was unable to edit them with a quality I was satisfied with. Once I got the editing basics down, I started using a program called Photoshop Elements, and it’s such a good application for producing standard camera-type images that I’ve never looked back.

You can now use the Magic Eraser tool to remove unwanted elements and edits. Remove unwanted objects such as hair or skin imperfections, or simply remove areas that are too bright. It keeps the lines and every other detail you want, so you don’t have to worry about erasing the rest.

Whilst Photoshop has a lot going for it, it also has a few shortcomings. There is a maximum number of layers you can have in one image, in the current version, you cannot create photography for the iPhone or iPad, and you can’t export your work as an eight megapixel (MP) TIFF.

Multi-Threaded Compositing, a hardware accelerated compositing algorithm, enables faster rendering and an overall more powerful editing experience. Multithreaded rendering is faster because it processes multiple versions of images simultaneously, enabling the app to render and display frames more quickly without affecting editing performance.

In the course of laying the groundwork for future Photoshop layers, a new feature called Replicate layers adopts the underlying reverse-engineered internal architecture of the Blur tool, and preserves the vertical duplication behavior of the original layer. This function duplicates and reorganizes layers into a range that is not visible unless you indicate that you want to see them. If you tap or click the eye icon on the top, you will re-size it and see a preview or the organization of the layers. You can select any layer or group of layers as the layer to view the contents of by selecting one of the tools at the bottom of the window, or you can add more layers by pressing the Add Layer button. After adding a layer, you can select it to find out what it is and manage it. You can duplicate and move layers to another part of the image. You can integrate various items into groups of layers to be performed together, such as applying a blur to all layers in a group. Nupi Collections is built in to Photoshop. It’s like layers, but a bit different. It makes it easy to create collections of items by selecting collections and applying styles. That’s a very useful thing to know when you need to apply a particular look to several items in a short period of time. You can also create your own collections, by grouping objects into collections of your own, and save them as collections. It’s a small addition, and one that will be further integrated in to Photoshop in future.
