First of all, after watching Hostel i am sure that i will never visit the hostel. Its so scary and horror it is. So if you are planning to visit hostel, please do not make it your debut destination.i recommend you to watch this from the store. It is exactly like the hostel other than, no blood. They make you believe that the hostel has no blood and a big day. They only make a little blood. The action and characters are well developed, but with the exception of a few characters, you do not relate to them or feel related to them in a sense that these are people you want to know. The story is very predictable, but by the end it will change your view on life and what makes a person. I hope i see this film in a theatre someday and get my money back.
After going through film’s trailer I did not expected this much gory and negative representation of 2007 with a plot that would be better suited to a 1985 teen slasher flick.Hostel is another film that crosses the line between a pornographic horror movie and a gory slasher flick. A Brendon Marcus gov’t$10.6-million joint effort, the film goes to four sets of young people whose equally-near-death experiences at the hands of skinheads while traveling through Europe leave them profoundly altered. Grabbing books from the shelves of their abandoned hostel, they decide to return to use them as a kind of capture-the-flag game. Now, with their personal belongings and much more on their mind, the boys commit a series of unsettling and bloody acts. Not surprising from the team that brought you the production of the The Hills Have Eyes remake, Hostel rolls across the Western world documenting each of the boys’ journeys as they seek out the final location in Amsterdam. Behind the shambling mob scenes are not the only unsettling aspects of this movie, the dialogue, characters and choices of the film lose all credibility by the end of it. Bleak, gory, bloody, scary and a tad trivial in its messages, Hostel is not the kind of film I would recommend to anyone. Although it will be available on video through a major network in a couple of months, it’s not worth spending $15 on.
