As a film, I enjoyed this very much. Being a Tom-cat kind of person, I was drawn to this movie. I only referenced it once though, when it was announced it was then coming out, Twice. Dink, the main character, is voiced very well by Patrick Warburton.You never once get bored of watching the cat-and-mouse games. It is very amusing and clever of them to have this as a prequel. Some of the jokes are not very clever, but they’re still nice and entertaining to watch. This is one of those movies you don’t only watch once, you watch it again and again.Tom’s and Jerry’s scenes are very well animated, however, you would have with a visually stunning animation for occassion’s. It is a little unrealistic but should be okay for those used to the original television series. The only negative comments I have with the movie are the mismatched animations for the characters. They look very different from the cartoons, like they’re trying to make them a bit larger than they’re supposed to be. The characters look more like real people. Well, I think it’s an improvement anyway. Overall, this movie is worth checking out. It’s better than any of the other movies (Jerry’s 11 and Tom’s Goes to College) and it wasn’t that bad either. It wasn’t bad enough for me to say that it is the worst movie of the series though. They had some good ones, it’s just that this one wasn’t that great. 7.5
Best part: This movie had more characters in it that the actual 60s show did.Even though it is 91 minutes long, I think that the pacing would have been even better if it had been longer. But it is the movies strength that it is nowhere near as long as any of the earlier ones. Every scene has a story that it is trying to tell, and even though it needs to work to fill the time, it still shows in the end. The pacing is great, as is the acting, the characters are all very likable, and the animation is good.
